Memory 4
Neu-Neu: Tenjou’s story of 200 years ago
From here to here
Information as he was told:
-The Red Rose was to be crowned the true rose, 200 years ago.
-The Yellow Rose was jealous of his dear friend.
-And decided to destroy the devil's seal!!
-But the seal could not be destroyed
-So the Yellow Rose willingly sacrificed himself atone.
Caveats & consequences:
This story is questionable as all hell. For several reasons, I'll start off with:
-Tenjou is telling the story.
Mitsuru Tenjou is currently jockeying for the position of most untrustworthy character in the series, having a basement full of clones and human experiments, chaining Anis to the bed and trying to force an incestuous awakening on her, and also trying to kill the other knights. Though that last one is apparently like, just a Rhode Knight thing. The only ones who haven't done it are Seiran, who attempted to kill himself instead, and Kaede (and he's the last knight with his backstory still untold, and he's going to have to try really really hard to top Tenjou's. Personally, I'm betting he's like. idk, the devil's son. or that the last one really broke the seal 200 years ago, and let the yellow rose take the fall for him.)
-His information source:
He says he heard it from someone claiming to be alive these 200 years ago, which means he probably means his pet vampire Mutsuki. PROBLEM, MUTSUKI HAS AMNESIA. HE HAS HOLES IN HIS MEMORY YOU CAN DRIVE A TRUCK THROUGH. He doesn't remember his own name! He didn't remember killing his brother! And he didn't remember his brother's masacre the same night that the devil's seal broke! Which. Uuuh, he was busy trying to kill his brother that night, I sincerely doubt he was even around for the sealing of the yellow knight, because he was busy with attempted murder and then being sealed into a coffin himself. \o/
-It doesn't make sense...
This is actually the weakest reason, as the whole manga makes very little sense. So I guess it's pretty weird to destroy the seal, and then go shit, I destroyed the seal, I'd better play human sacrifice and fix it, as everyone in this manga is a moron. It's totally possible. It still makes no sense, though.
-The Yellow Rose knight was pretty pissed off for this to have happened the way it did in the story
He's possessing and driving the next yellow rose knight crazy 200 years later. So, like, what, did he change his mind AGAIN and decide, WAIT, NO, SCREW THIS NOISE I REALLY WANT TO KILL THAT SON OF A BITCH AFTER ALL!! \o/ On the other hand, the devil's seal is shown to really badly fuck with people, see how it drove the black rose knight completely bugfuck so he went from pacifist to serial murderer when the seal broke. But on the other hand, that's because he's a vampire, thus connected to the powers of darkness. But Haruto does use demonic power too, so who knows.
Anyway, the point is this story holds... very little water. And Haruto, in the memory, knows it. (He stays on with team midboss, and tries to warn Anis about the organization and give her information on Tenjou later on, I'm going to go with he already knew about Tenjou at this point too) But it is the most information he's gotten on the events in Sabra so far, so when he does get his crazy feelings, he'll be able to separate from it a little, these are not rational feelings!! \o/ He is significantly saner in his appearances after this arc, so he does in fact get better at placating his memory. Little boost to resisting his crazy.
